The Elephant House, “birthplace of Harry Potter”, located in George IV Bridge Street in Edinburgh, UK. One of the cafés where JK Rowling spent time writing, in 1995. The toilets are covered with messages, thank you notes and quotations from the books written by the fans.
Also, they serve a bomb-ass cappuccino, the best alcoholic hot chocolate I’ve ever had, some killer elephant-shaped shortbread biscuits, etc., and their quiche is some of the best I’ve ever had. Elephant House was one of my favorite places in Edinburgh, but Harry Potter had basically nothing to do with that.
